Our standard terms and conditions of business

Contracting parties
These terms and conditions govern the contract between the Owners of Riverview Penthouse,
42 Queenscourt, Lower Clarendon Street, Derry, BT48 7AW and you, the guest.

Check In/Out, Availability & Booking
Check in is from 3pm till 8pm on the day of arrival. Apartments must be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure unless otherwise agreed in advance. Please telephone us to discuss or mention a late checkout.
Failure to vacate the apartment by this time may result in a charge charges. Availability of accommodation at the rates shown may be limited and/or restricted to certain periods. For booking information call Riverview Penthouse on +44 (0)7759 882074 and ask to speak to Karen or Denis, we are available to take your booking Monday - Friday from 10.00 am until 6.00pm.

Deposit and Pre-Payment
When making a booking a deposit of 50% and a valid credit card is required to secure this booking (This deposit will be refunded according to the cancellation conditions). Full payment for the booking will be processed 7 days prior to arrival (or sooner depending on the date of booking).
Security Deposit
If paying by cash a security deposit of £300 is required on arrival (This is refundable in the event of no damages or charges).

Cancellation and Amendments

PLEASE NOTE: All cancellations and amendments must be made in writing or by email.
- If cancelled up to 21 days before the date of arrival, 25% of the total price of the booking will be charged.
- If cancelled between 20 days and 8 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of the total price of the booking will be charged.
- If cancelled between 7 days and the date of arrival the full amount of the booking will be charged.
- In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after the arrival date) the full price of the booking will be charged.
Car Parking
There is no car parking on site, however there is pay and display parking within easy walking distance (40p per hour or £4 per day). Please note that all parking is at the customer's risk. Cleaning
Unless otherwise agreed the apartment is booked on a self-catering basis. For stays in excess of one week, the price will include a full linen and towel change on a pre-agreed day. The apartments are to be left in a clean and tidy manner, failure to do so will result in an additional cleaning charge of £75.00 and this amount will be charged to the credit card provided (or taken from security deposit).
We are able to provide extra bed linen and towels by prior arrangement but an additional charge will apply.

Lost Keys
A charge of £50 will be made for any lost keys or security key fobs.


Complaints and Comments
Any complaint or comment regarding your stay should be made to our office. Please kindly note complaints are more easily resolved while you are still in the property.

Damages
The owners of Riverview Penthouse reserves the right and you hereby authorise us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred by you to your apartment or the apartment block during your stay (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing when you leave.

General Information
Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information provided, we cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions, and reserve the right to vary, amend or cancel any of the information should we find such alterations necessary.
Riverview Penthouse cannot be held responsible for events beyond its control or the control of its suppliers (such as fire, strikes, industrial action, technical problems with transport and bad weather), nor for any curtailment, cancellation or change to any accommodation, activity or itinerary, which is caused as a result of such events.
Riverview Penthouse excludes all loss of valuables and damage to property and any direct, indirect or consequential losses suffered by you, other than death or personal injury resulting from a negligent act or omission by Riverview Penthouse, its officers or employees.
Insurance
Guests and visitors are advised to ensure their own insurance covers any loss or damage to personal property during their stay and to ensure adequate personal and travel insurance is taken out.

Occupancy and Termination of Occupancy
The apartment is to be occupied only by the persons detailed on the booking form. We reserve the right to charge an additional fee if it is found that there are persons occupying the apartment who are not included on the booking form and reserve the right to ask the entire party to vacate the premises. In these circumstances we also reserve the right to not issue a refund for unused days.
In the event of any complaints of noise or disrespect and damage to the property, we reserve the right to require guests to vacate the premises with immediate effect, and with no compensation for unused days.
We reserve the right to decline any bookings where we have reason to believe that the customer will not use the apartment responsibly. This could include behaviour contrary to good morals and public order.

Pets
Pets are not permitted.

Pricing
Prices are available on our booking page of the website. Prices are subject to change without notice, however, your price is guaranteed once you have received confirmation.

Right of Entry
Owners, employees or nominated person of Riverview Penthouse shall be allowed access to the property at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.

CCTV
CCTV is in operation at the entrance to the apartment on the 6th floor.
Smoking
Please be advised that our apartment is non-smoking; this includes the lift, stairs & main entrance foyer. Failure to comply with our non-smoking policy will result in a £150 cleaning charge. Smoking is allowed on the roof garden.

Security Statement
If you are booking online, your credit card and booking details are taken through a SSL secure browser connection and the information is directly encrypted by “public key encryption” to a separate computer.

Privacy Statement
Your address and credit card details are kept merely for the informational purposes of the credit card company and the address details are not passed on to any other third parties. Any other information that we keep about you is held and used strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
